To provide Zumba fitness instructors a platform to spread their love for the local community by organizing zumbathon events to support organization in and around the Triangle.
WHERE DID IT ALL START…
On one cold winter day in 2021 in the middle of the pandemic, a special 24/7 Zumba livestream event was broadcast by the Zumba Headquarters. Ivania Gutierrez, a Zumba instructor, decided to host a simple outdoor gathering of local instructors to enjoy this event and called this Zumba Camp. About 10 instructors, dressed in their warmest clothing, brought food,drinks, and their high energy, and they danced the afternoon away! The gathering was so wonderful, that as soon as it was posted on social media, people commented “I want to be there too, for the next one”…and Zumba Camp II gave birth! Including everyone.
