Our mission is to create an open forum of cultural exchange and to present the unique Venezuelan culture in the United States. The Venezuelan Dance Group was created in 1987 under the leadership of Mrs. Saida Kriz to promote and preserve the Venezuelan culture for the next generation of the growing Venezuelan community in the Greater Raleigh area. Through education and folkloric performances of dance, music and creative expression; audiences of all ages and backgrounds throughout the area can gain a better understanding of Venezuelan culture. As a non-profit group, we are supported from donations received from our presentations. These donations are used for costume materials only, all of our costumes are hand sewn by members of the dance.
