A celebration that unites
culture, art, and community
Day of the Dead with Revista Latina is the most important Latino cultural festival in North Carolina. Every fall, the heart of Downtown Raleigh becomes a vibrant stage of color, music, dance, and tradition that honors Mexican and Latin American heritage.
Musicians and dance groups, folk dances from across Mexico, altars dedicated to the memory of our loved ones, and the Catrina parade make this a celebration of the Day of the Dead as a living cultural heritage — recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and finding in North Carolina a new home where families pass it on to new generations.

Three years of tradition, in motion
The festival grows every fall. Relive the Day of the Dead celebration with Revista Latina in the heart of Downtown Raleigh — bigger year after year.
What you’ll experience
Catrina Parade
The symbolic heart of the festival. Groups of Catrinas walk through downtown in a parade of memory, identity, and art.
Aztec & Folk Dance
Aztec dancers and folk troupes from across Mexico fill the streets with color and centuries-old tradition.
Live Music
Cumbia, sonidero, regional Mexican music, and live bands animate two stages all day long.
Community Ofrenda
A collective altar where the community honors loved ones with photos, marigolds, and traditional offerings.
Latino Food
Food trucks and vendors serving the best of authentic Latin cuisine: tacos, tamales, elotes, and more.
Art & Crafts
Local artists and artisans show original work: painting, sculpture, jewelry, textiles, and Mexican folk art.
A message for those who are gone
On the Day of the Dead, remembering is an act of love. These are some of the messages our community has dedicated to their loved ones — and at the festival you can write your own.
