El Pueblo Seeks Greater Latino Voter Turnout in Upcoming Elections

Beginning on the first day of early voting in NC, Oct. 20, El Pueblo will join forces with Democracy NC to host Election Protection events in parts of the state in an effort to encourage voter turnout , answer voter questions, and ensure voters feel safe at their polling place.

A more informed vote with the voter guides in Spanish

Hispanic/Latino voters in North Carolina will be able to get information in their language about the candidates running for various offices in the midterm elections on November 8, through a series of guides in Spanish produced by nonpartisan organizations Democracy North Carolina, El Pueblo, Vote NC and Common Cause NC.

Fortaleza invites young people to be part of its scholarship program

The non - profit organization Fortaleza has opened a new registration period aimed at young people who wish to participate as fellows . Those interested must meet certain eligibility requirements, such as residing and/or studying in the Triangle area or in Onslow, Mecklenburg, Cumberland, Chatham and Pitt counties.

El Pueblo begins tour of 10 counties to register voters

From the last week of February through April, the El Pueblo organization will tour 10 North Carolina counties to register voters, especially Latinos, ahead of this year's elections. The tour that began this Friday, February 25 in Onslow will also cover Wake, Alamance, Chatham, Cumberland, Pitt, Mecklenburg, Johnston, Raldolph and Lee counties.
