El Pueblo Seeks Greater Latino Voter Turnout in Upcoming Elections

Beginning on the first day of early voting in NC, Oct. 20, El Pueblo will join forces with Democracy NC to host Election Protection events in parts of the state in an effort to encourage voter turnout , answer voter questions, and ensure voters feel safe at their polling place.

A more informed vote with the voter guides in Spanish

Hispanic/Latino voters in North Carolina will be able to get information in their language about the candidates running for various offices in the midterm elections on November 8, through a series of guides in Spanish produced by nonpartisan organizations Democracy North Carolina, El Pueblo, Vote NC and Common Cause NC.

The Great Carolina Slowdown

Over the past decade, North Carolina has undoubtedly grown. According to the 2020 census, North Carolina is now the 9th largest state in the nation, with around 10.7 million people. That population growth has also brought with it significant economic growth. But increasingly, our state's growth, both in population and economic terms, is wildly uneven in ways that belie how much of North Carolina is struggling to keep up.
