Mexico’s civil lawsuit against US arms companies continues.

During his visit to North Carolina, Alejandro Celorio, legal consultant for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, talks to us about the illegal arms trade and the responsibility of US companies that sell half a million weapons a year that are trafficked to Mexico. "To talk about the situation of armed violence in Mexico is to talk about illicit arms trafficking," commented Alejandro Celorio.

The intense economic relationship between Mexico and North Carolina

You probably already knew that Mexico is a fundamental partner for the United States… The economic relationship between Mexico and the United States is one of the richest and most intense between two countries. From 1994 to 2019, Mexican exports to the United States grew more than 700%. In 2018, the new Mexico-United States-Canada Free Trade Agreement (T-MEC or USMCA) was signed, which will allow to continue increasing exchanges between the three countries.
