Colombian writer

The shadow of the oak

It is impossible to know precisely if the improbable situation that Hortensia del Perpetuo Socorro Sánchez García experienced in Santafé during that forced vacation period would have been the same or at least similar in any other part of the world. As it happened to her that time where her overwhelmed mind and 'tired steps of fighting for nothing' took her, how in private she reproached herself and lashed out at her soul.

Childhood portrait

Smiling and sipping a coffee, with a sweet, almost childish gaze and that jovial, authentic posture that we know him from his program El Rollo de Fili, there was the illustrious countryman who during his forty years of work photographed and showed us the other Colombia with its history, geography, culture and countless peoples and characters such as Gabriel García Márquez, Fanny Mike, Plinio Apuleyo Mendoza, Obregón, Botero, Shakira, Salvo Basilie, Gloria Valencia de Castaño, presidents, politicians, businessmen... also, Donald Trump and many others that were on the cover of some of the magazines with the largest national circulation or that are part of his seven published books, apart from those that are in the process of being published and disseminated.

Between words and letters

At the end of the event that the young poet managed and carried out, the three agreed to go to dinner, as a farewell before leaving for their places of origin. Until the meeting they were only virtual friends. This, thanks to the magic of the networks and the mutual taste for letters that, after a few years, finally brought them together during the execution of that quixotic literary industry.

Reverie

There was no room for happiness, or emotion!, to be in that magical place. I thought I would never fulfill such a chimera. I had it in my mind since I was a teenager when a classmate told me...
