It's Saturday afternoon. The sky on Saturdays is mute, but resplendent. Below, in this convulsive thing that we call humanity, runs through the multitude of schedules, emotions, hunches. I feel like listening closely to that melody by Lisette Álvarez “One more Saturday, about Puerto Rico, one more Saturday…”
With the aim of helping to preserve and expand our traditions and culture, the first celebration of the national holidays and commemoration of the Independence of Mexico was held in Louisburg, North Carolina.
This civic cultural community event also had as an emphasis the dissemination of the traditional dance groups of the peoples of Mexico that exist in this area of North Carolina since, as is known, Mexico is one of the countries with the most cultural richness in the world. and Mexican migrants keep their deep-rooted roots crossing borders.
