Project description
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect us, I want to promote connection and artistic expression as we continue to understand this new reality. I wrote this grant in Fall 2020 and proposed to use the Xochipilli Painting Project to create guided, virtual, bilingual, and free painting classes for children and adults throughout the Triangle Community.

I decided to write this grant that would allow me to use the power of the arts to entertain ourselves, express ourselves, cope with the pandemic, and imagine a more equitable future. Thanks to the Durham Arts Council Ella Fountain Pratt Emerging Artist Grant, I am able to make this project a reality. This project is for YOU and I invite you to be part of the Xochipilli Painting Project.
