The Association of Mexicans in North Carolina, Inc. (AMEXCAN) will host a virtual community presentation and we invite you to learn more about the Padres Unidos por la Educación (“Parents United for Education”) program! This presentation will be in Spanish and will take place via ZOOM on May 31, 2022, from 7-8:30 PM. ZOOM meeting information is listed below. Registration is not required.

The Padres Unidos por la Educación framework aims to offer a platform for Latino parents in North Carolina to learn more about the U.S. education system, education-based topics, and local education opportunities. Parents will have the opportunity to elect program topics and will play an essential role in implementing community events. Community partners are welcome to join the Padres Unidos por la Educacion initiative as guest speakers, event sponsors, and to promote community resources.
With this program, we hope to encourage and empower Latino parents to actively engage in their child’s learning experiences. In the future, AMEXCAN envisions a network of motivated individuals to serve as community navigators on education-based matters.
