Description
The Association of Mexicans in North Carolina, Inc. (AMEXCAN) cordially invites you to join us for a roundtable discussion on: “Planting the Seed for Farmworkers Health.” This roundtable discussion features guest speakers including Daryl Walker, Kate Douglass, Jocelyn Santillan, Flor Ramos, and Alyssa Spence. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 30th, 2022, at 10 am via ZOOM (ID: 846 5475 4117 and Password: 338 689).
This meeting is to draw much needed attention to our state’s farmworkers. Every day, farmers are unaware of their personal rights and health in the workforce. They are also unaware of what resources are available to them and what organization such as ours are doing to help. We kindly request the community to attend and learn about these problems and help discuss possible solutions, to better aid our hardworking farmers.
The NC Farmworkers Resource Network aims to improve the welfare of farmers, farmworkers, farm labor contractors, & their respective families by providing educational and health related support to benefit all throughout NC. Through the NCFRN, farmworkers will be provided with tools and information to improve their health, their families health, mental health, and lifestyle for both women and men farmworkers.
