North Carolina, September 28, 2023.- Today, El Centro Hispano had the honor of hosting United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai for an important discussion with Latino leadership in the North Carolina Triangle area. . Ambassador Tai is a distinguished member of President Joe Biden’s Cabinet and serves as a senior trade advisor, negotiator, and spokesperson for U.S. trade policy.
The closed-door visit offered an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue about cultivating vibrant, empowered communities, focusing on investing in community development, workforce education, and promoting broad opportunities. It provided a unique opportunity for local Latino leaders to exchange ideas and views with Ambassador Tai on these critical issues affecting our communities and potentially influencing national policies and priorities.
Ambassador Tai graciously took time from her demanding international schedule to interact and understand the perspectives and needs of our community.
