On May 6 at the facilities of the Consulate of Mexico in Raleigh, another edition of Science Day will take place. This event is a collaboration between the Red Global MX – Raleigh Chapter and the General Consulate of Mexico in Raleigh established in 2017, in which children, youth and adults have the opportunity to experience what science, technology and mathematics (STEM) is. ) through various experiments and activities. In addition, attendees will be able to talk with several Hispanic professionals who work in these areas of knowledge in order to motivate young people to consider a career in STEM.
The quality, diversity and level of knowledge of the exhibitors who attend the Science and Technology Day have allowed this event to be a success every year. The participating institutions represent a wide variety of profiles, ranging from the industrial area to the academic area and will be presented. This year there will be the participation of: Duke University, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, the University of North Carolina (UNC), the North Carolina Society of Hispanic Professionals (NCSHP), Maracas Montessori, Marbles Kids Museum, the Family Academy, bioMérieux, Linxon, Build your smile, among others, who will present experiments related to magnetism, virtual reality, electrical energy, and many more. In addition, there will be the presence of Báalam Robotics, who is part of the Mexican delegation that will compete in the “VEX Robotics World Cup” to be held in Dallas, TX at the end of April of this year.
