CIVIC ACT INDEPENDENCE DAY 2022
The Consulate General of Mexico in Raleigh informs that the celebration of the 212th Anniversary of the Independence of Mexico will take place on September 15, 2022 at Flowers Field in Dix Park, located at 2105 Umstead Dr., Raleigh, NC 27603, starting at 6:00 pm
Within the framework of this celebration, the Consul General, Claudia Velasco, will present the “Ohtli” award, which is a recognition granted by the Institute of Mexicans Abroad, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country, through the Diplomatic and Consular Representations of Mexico throughout the world, to people, organizations and institutions that with their work contribute to improving the living conditions of our migrants.
The event will begin, as usual, with a display of artistic activities, in charge of local talents, among which it is worth mentioning, for example, the folkloric ballet Mexican Tradition, directed by Maestro Julio Ruiz.
The civic ceremony of honors to the Flag and the traditional Shout, will take place, after 7:30 p.m.
