Apex, North Carolina. July 23, 2022. On the occasion of the Anniversary of the Independence of Colombia, Takiri Latin Folklore directed by Pilar Rocha-Goldberg and the Colombian community of North Carolina came together to carry out this great celebration.
An afternoon full of color, music, typical food, crafts, zumba and folklore, with the presence of Sandra Lucia Herrera Sanchez and the zumba group, La Patialegre Rumbera, DJ Arthur with his music and Takiri Folklore Latino with his folklore.
Great variety of Colombian gastronomy, Empanadas, chicken arepas, cheese arepa, black pudding with mazamorra arepa with sandwich, passion fruit juice, aguapanela with lemon, valluno shampoos, salpicón caleño, suckling pig, paisa tray, sancocho, tamales, yucca cakes, tripe, dripping potato with chunchullo, corn cake with cheese, arepa with chorizo, crazy people and desserts.
The triangle community gathered at Jordan Lake-White Oak, Apex, NC. to celebrate an unforgettable Fiesta afternoon.
