This comprehensive course provides instruction and clinical practice in manicures, nail construction (application and maintenance of artificial nails), and pedicures. Course content includes nail anatomy, nail disorders, and nail irregularities; theory and art of selling in relation to manicure; actual manicure practice; and massage of arms, hands and feet. Manicurist students must complete 300 hours at an approved beauty school or college before applying for the State Board of Cosmetic Arts exam. Students enrolled in Manicure only may only perform services directly related to the prescribed course in Manicure. Please note that this is a comprehensive course to provide training for those interested in becoming a Registered Manicurist only and who do not wish to become a Licensed Cosmetologist.
