Twenty-three Hispanic American authors will be present at the HISPANIC HERITAGE BOOK FAIR MILIBROHISPANO, NORTH CAROLINA, April 20-23.

The program includes conferences at schools and universities, including Duke University, where the talk “United Hispanic States” will take place, by the distinguished poet and member of the North American Academy of the Spanish Language (ANLE) corresponding to the RAE, Dr. Luis Alberto Ambrogio.

The writers have been invited to present their literary works and participate in multiple events with the community, such as visits to: Early College, Vance Charter School and the Civic Center Vance-Granville Community College, where they will offer workshops and have talks with students and the teachers.

Three member writers of the Latino Literary Tour will be present at this wonderful event: Patty Holmes, Jenny Bustamante Ferrell and Bertha Martínez-Velásquez.

The Hispanic Heritage Book Fair Milibrohispano is an institutional program of the Hispanic Heritage Literature Organization / Milibrohispano, created in 2018, which has a history of annual events at the national and international level, bringing together writers, artists, organizations, teachers , students and the community in general.

During this event, books in Spanish, English and bilingual editions are promoted and sold; Workshops, talks and conferences are given, while the artistic and cultural agenda of Spanish-speaking countries is integrated with exhibitions of art, gastronomy, folklore, music and theater. Pilar Vélez, creator of the program, comments that “within the framework of the Hispanic Heritage Book Fair, the contribution of literature, bilingualism and the cultural richness of Spanish-speaking countries are highlighted.

Likewise, the environment of inclusion and integration with other
cultural and community organizations and managers, while exalting and
encourages the development of talent and promotes those values that forge a
harmonious coexistence sensitive to cultural diversity and equality of
opportunities»
