Actualmente soy profesor visitante de Pintura en la Universidad de Chapel Hill, me dedico a la pintura por que pienso que es la mision de mi vida, creo que la pintura para mi es muy importante no solamente como medio de expresion sino tambien como documento historico, por eso creo que la pintura debe de tener un espacio y debe respetarse tambien la tradicion y sobre todo a los pintores, es necesario abrir espacio para los pintores.

Do you want diversity?
I want a house and going to the university
don’t ask me for my Abuelita’s medicina
if you don’t give healthcare to our Familia
You call me Latinx
But, do you know my name?
Don’t call me Hispanic
and get offended if I call you Gringo
We try to live together
and our kids -en la Frontera- still in cages
our families are divided
and you are waiting for the Taco-Truck
to come to your gentrified neighborhood
We are not invited to the table
you only want the people of color
for the photo corporate
but, as soon we cross the line
you call the police, la Migra!
throwing our people in jail
But do you know what?
we always come back
our blood is here
our dead bodies are here
our land is here
